Canada's THE RURAL ALBERTA ADVANTAGE sews together threads of rural folk rock, catchy indie pop and grungy noise rock. The trio's debut album, Hometowns, originally released independently in 2008 is being re-released this summer by Saddle Creek.

Not much is known about the mysterious Pennsylvania group BLACK MOTH SUPER RAINBOW, and maybe that's the way it should be. The lack of knowledge throws a veil of curious intrigue over the group's already captivating experimental, psychedelic-tinged music. Their latest effort, Eating Us, landed in late May.
